GPW Recruitment is working with a leading engineering company to find a skilled Senior Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated engineer to manage and deliver both greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring top-level client satisfaction and adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Delivery: Lead the control and instrumentation scope for both greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring high standards of HSE and client satisfaction.
2. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multi-discipline team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
3. Control System Engineering: Manage all aspects of control system engineering, including strategy identification, technical equipment specification preparation, system integration, vendor drawing reviews, and site surveys.
4. Instrument Engineering Support: Oversee field instrumentation, including technical specification preparation, instrument selection, cable routing, data sheets, and design scheme development.
5. Contract Compliance: Ensure all C&I works comply with the contractual conditions and requirements.
6. Meetings: Attend project coordination, progress, and resource meetings as needed.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Engineering Degree: Required in control, instrumentation, or a related field.
2. Chartered Status: Working towards or holding Chartered Membership with a recognized institution is essential.
3. Project Experience: Significant engineering and contracting experience in both major and minor project environments is necessary.
4. Leadership: Experience leading teams of engineers and designers is crucial.
5. Skills: Highly motivated, flexible, and capable of coordinating complex vendor packages.
Desirable Experience:
1. Major Projects: Experience with projects valued at £30 million or more.
2. Industry Expertise: Experience in sectors such as Process Plant, Waste to Energy, and Renewables.
3. Human Factors Engineering: Experience in control room design and alarm management is beneficial.
4. LV Electrical Experience: Some knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems would be advantageous.
