* Are you passionate about changing lives?
* Are you looking to start and progress your career alongside colleagues who believe in social mobility?
* Are you seeking a post in which you will have access to enhanced CPD and networking opportunities?
We are a popular and heavily oversubscribed 11-16 mainstream school with additional expertise and facilities to include two focused SEND provisions, for young people on the autistic spectrum and for those who are deaf and hearing impaired (ARC and Deaf Academy). We also support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and have a bespoke sixth form provision (WOA6) for students in Years 12 and 13 with EHCPs.
We work closely with our local community - families, schools, businesses, and community groups, prioritizing our pupils in every decision we make at WOA.
At WOA, we believe that every child has the potential to achieve and we expect nothing but the best for each student. Our curriculum provides an excellent and inclusive education that raises aspirations and prepares them for success in education and later life.
We have a dedicated team of specialist curriculum, SEND, and student welfare staff who work together to meet the needs of each child. Every member of our team teaches at Wodensborough, including the Principal, as we believe that good teaching is essential for shaping successful futures.
We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner in English to join our experienced and supportive English Team. We seek someone who believes that your starting point in life should not dictate your future destination and is passionate about English.
This role would suit an enthusiastic ECT looking to join a team of like-minded individuals. We offer recruitment & retention sums for the right candidate, access to wider professional development through our Early Careers Package, and a suite of NPQs. As part of the Ormiston Academies Trust, we provide networking opportunities, enhanced CPD, and an Employee Benefits Package.
Our vision is to create a school system where every child thrives, regardless of background. Our people are at the heart of our approach.
Ormiston, where every member of staff enjoys…
* The opportunity to build on the legacy of those who came before, being part of a long-standing Trust enabling children and young people to thrive.
* Working for a Trust nationally recognized for its impact on disadvantaged children, where staff are challenged to be their best for the pupils we serve.
* Being part of a team and community where you belong, within a well-resourced and ambitious network of experts and professionals.
* A supportive environment to grow your career, with an extensive professional development program, flexible working arrangements, and generous benefits.
We believe that we all have an important part to play in raising standards. Join us on our journey!
