Our client is a group of 4 well-established, small animal practices in the South Oxfordshire area.
Our client is looking for a qualified RVN to work 30 hours per week. They are happy to consider someone newly qualified. You will work closely with the rest of the clinical and support team in promoting high standards of client and patient care. This role will primarily be based at one site, but you must be flexible to provide cover elsewhere if required.
There is a varied caseload, and the role includes general nursing duties, anaesthesia, radiology, ultrasonography, and hospital inpatient care as they are a 24-hour emergency care provider. The role is a 30-hour week over 4 days with 6-8 hour shifts, 1 in 5 weekends Saturday and Sunday with TOIL for weekends worked. There is no out-of-hours work as there is a dedicated night team who cover this. Bank holidays are on a rota basis.
There is a range of equipment including ultrasound, x-ray, endoscope, dental x-ray, and a lab where they do a variety of in-house blood work. The clinic is a 24-hour emergency care provider for the surrounding area and has a dedicated night team of vets and nurses. The main practice is within walking distance to the historic town centre of Abingdon, Oxfordshire. They are 15 minutes away from Oxford city centre where there are lots of shops and restaurants, and it is a very beautiful city. There are many buses running regularly from Oxford and surrounding areas.
The team currently consists of 9 Vets, 8 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 7 receptionists, and 3 ANAs along with an admin team. They are also a nurse training practice, with a very friendly and welcoming team and would want someone proactive who also has a good sense of humour.
Salary is up to £33,000 FTE, plus up to £2,000 Relocation Allowance and up to £1,000 Welcome Bonus. Accommodation is also available if required.
