We are working alongside one of our very prestigious clients, to fulfill an exciting role as a Business Development Manager. This is a fully remote role, ideally located within Bournemouth, Bristol, Canterbury, Crawley, Reading, South Wales and Torquay. Job Description As a Business Development Manager you will be predominantly remote based, covering the North West of the UK down to the Midlands with flexibility for UK wide travel and sometimes overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully driving new business growth and will be responsible for generating new business via inbound leads and self generated leads. Ultimately building your own client portfolio to manage and grow, you will also be assigned an existing number of customer accounts to manage and develop. The versatile candidate will have the ability to close sales deals through multiple channels to spearhead business and sales growth. Responsibilities Identify and driving new business revenue to ensure monthly targets are achieved and exceeded Manage a portfolio of customer accounts with sales revenue in excess of 75k per annum (may change if separate new business from account management) Manage and organise your own diary and calendar to ensure frequent customers meetings are sat. Build and maintain a steady pipeline to ensure constant flow of opportunities; both Confident in overcoming potential roadblocks in the sales cycle Use product knowledge to showcase company USP’S / range of solutions Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities Successfully utilise CRM system as part of the sales cycle, maintaining accurate opportunity forecasts. Support the wider sales team on commercial opportunities Experience Required Previous experience in waste management (total waste, hazardous, electrical, clinical etc.) would be ideal Managed portfolios in excess of £75k (with the account manager / new business this isn’t essential) Proven success in business development Computer literate with solid experience of MS Office Proven ability to juggle multiple prospects, while maintaining sharp attention to detail Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Great at building and maintaining building relationships Tenacious, driven, organised and a self starter.
