An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Footwear Designer to work with internationally recognized brands.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the design and development of footwear collections.
2. Researching trends, including colours, materials, and global market analysis, with a strong awareness of competitor activity.
3. Analysing the footwear market and trends to inspire upcoming collections.
4. Taking 2D line art and applying appropriate colours and materials for assigned divisions.
5. Researching and selecting materials and colour choices.
6. Acquiring a good understanding of colour and materials for in-line colourways.
7. Computerizing colour-ups, detailing and textures using relevant design software.
8. Collaborating closely with senior designers and the development team.
9. Assisting in preparing range plans, collection overviews, and colour CADs.
10. Implementing innovations in colour and materials to product.
11. The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Person Specifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of professional design experience.
2. Visualisation skills, with the ability to produce initial hand-drawn sketches or digital designs.
3. Advanced knowledge of Illustrator & Photoshop is a must.
4. A keen eye for colours, materials, textures and trends.
5. Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
6. Must be able to build all tech packs and pass specs in a detailed, organised and clear manner for factory proto-sample-making.
7. Must be able to work well as part of a team.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
10. Strong proactive work ethic and willingness to learn.
Additional Notes:
Specific knowledge or interest in performance-oriented footwear (outdoor, sports, lifestyle-related) is beneficial as this will be the primary focus of the collections.
The successful candidate will have prior design experience and a good understanding of colour, and be able to produce CADs.
