An opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to lead a team of OT's and STR Workers across our female adult inpatient services at Laureate House in South Manchester.
Services include an 8 bedded PICU and an 18 bedded acute ward.
To lead the service clinically and operationally to deliver a safe, effective, and high quality service to service users with mental health needs. Improving the quality of community services and pathways for service users by effectively and collaboratively working with senior colleagues and external providers.
Participate in the service Bronze on call and Bronze on Site rota as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination of day to day adult inpatient Occupational Therapy Service delivery to ensure effective consistent and equitable access to Occupational Therapy services.
* To contribute to the development and evaluation of the Occupational therapy service within the care group and take a lead in aspects of service development.
* To work with Occupational Therapy Professional lead and Head of Occupational Therapy to agree strategic professional action plans and implementation.
* To provide Occupational Therapy advice to the MDT.
* To provide specialist Occupational Therapy input to the planning, development and evaluation of clinical services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
* The post holder will offer specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to a case load of clients with complex needs. Assessments and interventions will identify barriers and support clients to achieving functional goals.
* The post holder will contribute to the planning, development, provision and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Services within the South Manchester and Trafford inpatient Division as well as taking a lead in aspects of audit, standard setting, research and development.
* They will be responsible for the prioritisation of referrals for OT and the provision of an evidence-based OT service.
* Be responsible for professional provision.

* Band 1: Time plus 47% for Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8pm and before 6am.
* Band 2: Time plus 41%.
* Band 3: Time plus 35%.
* Band 4 – 9: Time plus 30%.
