Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester, and Lancashire, St Helens is a modernising Council passionate and ambitious for the children and families we support, our communities, and our workforce. As part of our transformation journey, we continue to build on our progress and put children firmly at the centre of our care. We can only do this because of our highly valued, skilled, and supported workforce.
Make A Difference as an Administration Assistant in Education Welfare Service
Education Welfare is a very busy service that has many responsibilities, primarily centred on school attendance. Can you make a difference supporting our team who support the improvement of school attendance?
You must be flexible and able to use your initiative when supporting the team responsible for many functions, some of which are statutory, including:
1. Prosecutions
2. Child Employment licences
3. Chaperone Licences
4. Child Missing Education
The successful candidate will be able to work in a hybrid manner in line with the Council’s Ways of Working Policy. We will provide you with the necessary training and support to succeed in the role and enjoy working with our great team.
For an informal discussion, please telephone Helen McCabe at 01744 673356.
St Helens Council is a Disability Confident Leader. This means that the Council guarantees an interview to disabled applicants who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria for the job, as detailed on the Person Specification, and will, for qualifying disabled candidates, make reasonable adjustments within the interview/selection process.
