Your new role We are looking for an Analytical Development Scientist II to join our team You will be responsible for translational process development of cell and gene therapy products and associated analytical techniques into cGMP Manufacturing/Quality Control Laboratory. This position has responsibility for developing, optimizing and assessing assays used to characterise cell therapy products as part of the Process Development Analytical Team within Process Development. Duties include, but are not limited to: Routine analytical testing, method development and qualification, assay suitability studies and method transfers into Process Development and Quality Control units. Act as an SME in respect to molecular biology techniques and cell-based assays such as flow cytometry, immunostaining and genetic analysis. Partner closely with both RoslinCT’s clients and internal QC department to develop and optimise product-specific analytical methods. Plan and execute method development, method transfer, method suitability and method qualification studies. Work collaboratively to transfer analytical methods into the QC laboratory. Ensure analytical methods and data meet requirements for intended use of assays, i.e. characterization, lot release. Apply technical and scientific knowledge to critically interpret, understand, contextualize, report and present experimental data. Author and review SOPs, study protocols, reports and other scientific and quality documents. About you The ideal candidate in this position will be a subject matter expert (SME) in various analytical techniques including biosafety assays, qPCR, ddPCR, immunoassays, imaging techniques and flow cytometry. You will have proven expertise in analytical development and method qualification in a biotechnology setting. Extensive laboratory experience with tissue culture and various analytical techniques, including molecular assays (qPCR, ddPCR), flow cytometry, cell imaging, immunoassays and other cell-based assays. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive report writing experience. Detail-oriented, with a desire to continually develop, improve and do things right first time. The ability to work effectively with multiple teams across the wider department and organisation. Flexible approach and willingness to work above and beyond as determined by business-critical needs and ad hoc events.
