Consultant QA Engineer
CME Group is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join the CME quant analytics team.
As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and other pods to create, execute, and automate tests, identify defects, and help in speeding up time to market. The successful candidate will be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
CME Group has recently entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Google Cloud that will transform global derivatives markets by migrating our technology infrastructure to Google Cloud (GCP) and becoming a fully cloud-based company.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute manual tests
2. Identify, document, and track defects
3. Work closely with the application teams to identify opportunities to provide innovative testing solutions, enabling teams to achieve goals of continuous delivery.
4. Maintain test environments
5. Keep abreast of the latest testing technologies and advocate for shift-left testing strategies.
6. Work closely with developers and advise on appropriate tests to be implemented at the right stage of the development lifecycle.

10. Knowledge of SQL and Linux commands
Nice to have:
1. Familiarity with testing streaming pipeline technologies (e.g., PubSub, Google Dataflow, Apache Beam, Apache Flink or similar)
2. Experience with Unit testing
3. Experience of cloud technologies, ideally GCP/GKE
4. Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka
5. Experience with Kubernetes/Docker
6. Experience working in a platform-oriented product where customers are product development teams
7. Prior experience building out robust test automation and BDD frameworks
8. Coding experience with Java or other comparable object-oriented languages
9. Experience of modern software development practices, including tooling such as GIT
10. Experience of modern continuous delivery pipelines, implemented with Jenkins, Argo, etc.
