We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, motivated, and enthusiastic member of staff to join our dedicated, friendly admin team. The School Lettings and Trips Admin Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day lettings are carried out efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking bookings for the hire of the school premises and the administration and processing of all paperwork. In addition, they will support our admin team and teaching staff with the communications, payment collection and documentation required for school trips and visits. Applicants will need to be conscientious, committed and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to build positive, effective working relationships is essential, as are attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness - both our customers and the school expect a high-quality service. Please note that the work pattern is flexible, and hours may be able to be adjusted to meet the needs of the successful applicant.
These are exciting times at Alec Hunter, since our November 2022 Ofsted inspection confirmed that the school continues to be ‘good’, with the report noting that “Staff morale is high. They feel valued by (the) leadership team (and)… like many pupils, enjoy being part of Alec Hunter Academy”. Alec Hunter is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school with an established reputation as a welcoming learning community with a positive, harmonious atmosphere and a strong focus on staff wellbeing. Numerous opportunities for professional development exist through our membership of the Saffron Academy Trust and several local networks. The post holder will be auto-enrolled onto the Local Government Pension Scheme, with the option to opt out if requested.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates - you can read more about this in our Recruitment and Selection Policy Statement. A Disclosure and Barring Service check at an enhanced level will be required for this post. If you would like to visit the school prior to making an application, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange this.
