Business Accountant (New Business) 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
The vacancy
Hours: 35 hours per week / 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
We are currently looking to recruit a Business Accountant to join our Finance and Treasury team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Within the role you will provide a highly professional and all-round accounting, financial support, and reporting service, to the Housing 21's Development and Asset Management Teams. You will also support new business opportunities, advise on acquisitions, and lead on other ad hoc special projects as required.
You will support the Development and Asset Management Teams in helping to provide the relevant divisions, directorates and/or functions with relevant financial management information and support for effective operational oversight and decision-making regarding profitability, key performance indicators, capital spend, investment options, contract management and supplier management.
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we're looking for:
The essential requirements for the role include knowledge and experience with the below:
* Financial controls and safeguards
Ideally you will also have experience in:
* Complex financial systems with numerous interfaces from feeder systems
* Budgeting and forecasting techniques
* Financial modelling and planning activities
* Complex budgeting and forecasting activities
* Managing and developing part-qualified trainee accountants
You must also be qualified to ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/CA, be a graduate calibre finance professional, or have equivalent relevant experience.
