SEN Support Assistant
Salary: £25992 - £28624 pro rata FTE (actual salary £9742-£10729)
Part time. 16.25 hours per week, term time only.
Monday - Friday (mornings: 8:45am -12:00pm)

Monkspath School is looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and highly motivated SEN Support Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly and experienced staff.
The successful candidate will be supporting groups and individual children, including leading group interventions. This may involve providing one-to-one or small group support to children with additional needs and Education Health Care Plans.
This role is likely to be based in Key Stage 1/ Lower Key Stage 2 in the first instance but could involve working in any Key Stage across school.
The post holder will be supporting the high quality provision within our large primary school and will:
1. Have a passion for working with pupils
2. Have the ability and willingness to uphold and exemplify our whole school values and ethos
3. A proven, successful record of a range of teaching experiences in primary education, including supporting children with additional needs
4. Be flexible, proactive and work effectively as part of a team
5. Understand how children learn and be able to support their development with key literacy, mathematics and personal skills
6. Have an excellent understanding of how to be an effective teaching assistant
7. Have high expectations and be able to inspire pupils in order to further enhance learning
8. Have an ambitious, reflective outlook and a commitment to continuous professional development and an interest in pedagogy
9. Be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
