Facilities Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee office furniture projects, decommissioning processes, and construction-related facility operations. This role requires strategic coordination of physical assets while ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Office Furniture Management: Plan and work on tenant fit-out projects with office furniture dealerships for new products, reconfigurations, and space optimization projects.
2. Coordinate moves/adds/changes (MAC): Support evolving workspace needs.
3. Decommissioning Leadership: Manage full-cycle office decommissioning, including working with office furniture and moving companies for asset liquidation, recycling, and sustainable disposal.
4. Construction & Facilities Operations: Manage contractor relationships for construction projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Facility Management/Engineering/Business Administration and/or 5+ years of experience managing corporate or institutional facilities with furniture and construction components.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or space utilization tools.
3. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.
4. Demonstrated success in managing decommissioning programs.
