Slinger needed in Walthamstow Rate: £21.00 per hour (PAYE Umbrella) Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours paid, with potential for increased hours as the site progresses) Start Date: Immediate Duration: Long-term Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Slinger/Signaller to join a new construction project in Walthamstow. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a reliable and skilled individual looking for consistent work. The site is in its early stages, so initial working hours will be 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 8 paid hours per day. As the project develops and becomes busier, extended working hours will be introduced. Key Responsibilities: Safely sling and signal loads to direct crane operations in line with lifting plans and site requirements. Work closely with crane operators, site managers, and lifting teams to ensure safe lifting and positioning of materials. Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting accessories and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide clear and accurate hand and radio signals to crane operators. Assist in coordinating lifting operations and maintaining a safe working environment. Follow site safety procedures and risk assessments to prevent hazards. Report any safety concerns, faulty equipment, or incidents to site management. Work efficiently as part of a team to support site operations and maintain productivity. Requirements: Must hold a valid Blue CPCS Card for Slinger/Signaller. Proven experience working as a Slinger on construction sites. Strong understanding of lifting plans, risk assessments, and health & safety regulations. Ability to communicate effectively with crane operators and other site personnel.
