A Senior JS Automation QA Engineer assumes a leadership role in maintaining software quality through advanced automation practices using JavaScript. They design, develop, and maintain complex automated test scripts and frameworks, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues. Their expertise extends to troubleshooting intricate automation challenges and staying at the forefront of automation trends and best practices within the JavaScript ecosystem.

What you can expect
1. Work on custom projects for clients, sometimes very closely with their team
2. Design and write test automation scripts
3. Investigate problems in software as a result of testing
4. Work with QA analysts and software developers to find efficient automation solutions
5. Keep a healthy communication with your project manager and client
6. Take active part in all project stages – analysis, estimation, documentation, coding, bug fixing and support
7. Learn from your colleagues and teach them what you know
The type of person we’d like to meet
8. 3+ years practical experience in JS/Typescript test automation
9. Expertise in WebdriverIO or other Selenuim Webdriver based test framework
10. Hands on automation with Playwright and/or Cypress
11. Experience of using Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) collaboratively
12. API automation expertise
13. Experience in testing Microservices architecture
14. Experience with Charles, Postman or similar tools
15. Confidence to question and challenge from a Testing perspective
16. The ability to quickly become a subject-matter expert
17. Knowledge of different testing techniques, test designs, and test strategies
18. Awareness of cross-platform complexities and their impact on quality
19. Experience working in an Agile team
20. Demonstrable initiative - you like to think outside of the box
21. Ability to be adaptable and learn quickly
Nice to have
22. Hands on Flutter automation with Dart
23. Knowledge of Python and PyTest
24. An understanding of networking principles
25. An understanding of CI/CD practices
26. Exposure to the larger Testing community
27. Experience with Jira/Confluence
