The Role
The Amari Project is a Supported Accommodation for women who have been sexually exploited, trafficked or who have exited sex work.
You will be responsible for providing support to women living within the accommodation. You will provide risk & and needs assessments to clients and co-develop client-led support plans to best suit their needs. You will support the service users to achieve their goals around education, training and employment in addition to providing support to improve their health and wellbeing. You will support them to maintain their license and move towards independent living. You will be responsible for house management, ensuring the property is maintained to a good standard and regularly coordinate health and safety checks, reporting issues and repairs to the Landlord.
Accountabilities
* Answer phone enquires and process referrals.
* Case worker is required to work on-site.
* Prepare rooms for women moving into the accommodation.
* Introduce new clients to Solace services, explaining policies, procedure, house expectations etc. Ensure residents are informed of available services both internally and externally.
* Adhere to safeguarding responsibilities.
* Support residents with accessing benefits, Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
* Collect personal charges from residents and record them accurately according to Solace finance procedures.
* Accompany residents to appointments when appropriate.
* Organise and participate in house meetings and encourage Service Users Involvement to make decisions regarding the smooth running of the accommodation.
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with Local Authorities and Stake Holders.
* Develop and review individual support plans with residents in line with Solace Service standards.
* Keep up to date accurate records for all residents on the Case Management System.
* Work with residents to support their move on from the accommodation and secure appropriate housing.
* Carry out regular Health and Safety checks, including welfare checks, reporting repairs, completing accident and incident reports.
* Attend regular staff meetings, ensuring that you contribute to the effective working practice and communication.
* Attend regular supervision sessions with your line manager.
* Attend relevant training as identified during supervision or appraisal.
* Ensure that compliance with Solace’s Policies & Procedures are up to date.
* Ensure effective implementation of Solace’s Equality and Diversity policies and awareness and integration of an equalities and human rights agenda in all your work, including further development of anti-discriminatory practice.
* Maintain confidentiality in all matter’s relation to the organisation.
* Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post as requested by your line manager, Chief Executive and/or Board to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
* Demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people. Particularly with women affected by VAWG.
* Experience of multi-agency partnership working
* Experience of working in a regulated environment, managing risk, and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse and vulnerable client group.
* In depth understanding of VAWG and its effect on women.
* A good understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
* An understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity
* Ability to provide an effective key working service to women affected by VAWG
* Effective interpersonal and group work skills
* Ability to prioritise own work plan and work to deadlines.
* Ability to operate and maintain basic administrative financial systems.
* Ability to provide accurate reports and record information.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Packages
Qualifications
DAPA, IDVA or Saving Lives accreditation is desirable, but not essential.
