Lighthouse Support Team Member Permanent St Just £24,211.00 - 26,631.00 per annum 37 hours per week Trinity House works for the benefit and safety of all mariners as a General Lighthouse Authority and maritime charity. This role involved carrying out a wide variety of tasks in support of the maintenance activities carried out in the South West area and at other sites as needed. This includes duties such as supporting helicopter operations, supervising contractors, water jetting and transporting stores and equipment. Full training will be given for all the requirements of this position. The working environments can vary from land based installations to those that are off shore many requiring access over rough ground. Given the location of the stations it is a requirement of the post to spend significant time away from home working and living in close proximity of your work colleagues. Therefore, there is plenty of paid overtime opportunities. This, coupled with the physical nature of the duties involved, will require appropriate levels of health and fitness. Modes of transport to access the installations can be a combination of road transport, boat and helicopter. We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Skills and experience - Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. maintenance, installation). - An appropriate level of practical training. - A basic working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and Electricity at Work regulations. Qualifications - Five level 2 qualifications including English and mathematics or relevant experience in a similar role. - Driving Licence - ADR, Dangerous Goods Awareness and Level 2 Health & Safety Management certificates desirable.
