Founded in 1981, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people living in Cambridgeshire with an advanced serious illness or a life-limiting condition and those in need of end-of-life care. We care for more than 3,800 patients each year at our Hospice in Cambridgeshire, the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes via the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Community Team.
The Supporter Care team, which sits within the Income Generation and Communications team, manages relationships throughout our community increasing awareness of the charity and raising vital funds to contribute to the cost of our care. Our supporters are dedicated, committed and extremely generous in the multitude of ways that they provide support.
Arthur Rank is looking for a Supporter Care Administrator to join their friendly team. This role is primarily an administrative and reception-based role, to assist the Supporter Care team and be the first point of contact for any supporter and donation queries.
Duties will include:
1. Face to face contact with supporters and visitors at Arthur Rank Hospice
2. Telephone and email communications
3. Administrative tasks
Customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
This position, which is based at the Cambridge hospice, is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, with the potential to work from home one day per week (following review of need and completion of 3 months’ probation).
Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro-rata’d for part time posts.
Starting salary of £24,071, with opportunities to progress to £25,674 per annum.
As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.
