Logistics & Stock Operations Coordinator

Our client based in Wickford is seeking a reliable and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who will thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Logistics & Stock Operations Coordinator.
Reporting to the Business Operations Assistant Manager, you will work closely with cross functional teams including sales, production, technical and finance, to ensure we continually meet customer needs and requirements.
You must have previous stock management and logistics experience, be forward-thinking and proactive as this role requires a dynamic approach to problem-solving. Excellent IT skills and phone manner is essential, as the ability to communicate and work well within a team as well as individually is a must. You will need to be highly motivated and have the ability to learn and absorb information quickly. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise your workload.
Key Responsibilities:
To monitor and maintain stock levels at the Plant and Warehouse
Review and process all customer orders in a timely manner
Raise customers invoices promptly after delivery
Process purchase invoices in a timely manner
Respond promptly to queries and discrepancies
Request and manage the process for customs clearance
Arrange haulage for orders as necessary
Obtain haulage rates as requested
Monitor stock levels at terminals
Arrange stock deliveries for terminals
Liaising with Plant staff to monitor plant orders.
Ensure all documentation and systems are always kept up to date
Maintain and develop good working relationships between The Company and third parties
Responsible for meeting individual targets set
Work to continuously improve the quality of service
Follow all processes and procedures specific to your role
Perform other related tasks as necessary
The ideal Candidate will have:
Logistics experience
Stock management experience
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Proactive and the ability to work without supervision
Organised, focused and efficient at multitasking
Calm under pressure
Experience of using a CRM system, Sage 200 preferred
Ability to use all Microsoft packages and strong excel experience
Desirable
Understanding of shipping processes and terminology / Incoterms
Knowledge of Custom and Excise procedures including import and export declarations
