Legal Secretary – Residential Property – Shrewsbury
We have an excellent opportunity for a full time Legal Secretary to join our Shrewsbury office to support the Residential Property team. Day to day you will be expected to carry out duties such as greeting clients who attend the office and arranging appointments for the Lawyers in the department, opening and closing files including archiving, drafting documents and correspondence and answering incoming internal and external telephone calls.

For the successful candidate, this role has the potential to progress into a Legal Assistant position in the Residential Property team in the future.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Answering internal and external telephone calls, taking messages and redirecting to the appropriate personnel
2. Dealing with clients from the outset, liaising between the client, Fee Earner and other third parties
3. Opening and closing files on the case management system (ALB), including archiving
4. Drafting correspondence, documents, forms and attendance notes using the case management system (ALB)
5. Accurately using Property systems to update client matters such as SDLT and Land Registry
6. Ensuring each client matter is up to date in line with PCB’s compliance standards
7. On boarding clients and organising appointments, managing the Lawyer’s calendars across the team
8. Providing excellent client care in line with PCB Solicitors standards
9. General ad hoc administration such as dealing with incoming and outgoing post for the department
10. Build strong client relationships with new and existing clients
11. Pay precise attention to detail and be highly organised with the ability to balance multiple tasks at any one time and prioritise workload
12. Experience with MS office applications necessary
13. Experience using case management and legal systems such as ALB
14. Ability to work under pressure and retain high levels of confidentiality at all times
15. Proven verbal and written internal and external communication skills
16. Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
17. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
18. Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
Experience:
* Experience working in a Legal Secretary/Legal Support role required
* Experience working in Residential Property preferable

Between £21,000.00 and £22,400.00 FTE, depending on qualifications and experience
