ECT Teacher A primary school in the Saltash area is currently looking for graduates interested in completing their teacher training and starting a career in Primary Education. The school is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by fields and wildlife which are a big part of the school's ethos as they strive to involve the children and staff with the outdoors. Throughout the year the children learn about the wildlife, help feed the animals and look after the vegetable patch. Combining outdoor learning with classroom lessons allows children to learn through play and develop skills outside the classroom. Your role will include: ● Planning and teaching ● Assessing following the school marking policy ● Promoting good progress and outcomes ● Adapting teaching to respond to the strengths of pupils ● Managing behaviour effectively ● Demonstrating good curriculum knowledge ● Liaising with parents The ideal candidate would be someone who is passionate about education and keen to use different methods such as outdoor play and activities. The school will support you during your ECT journey providing mentorship and one to one support. Working in partnership with Plymouth University you will receive support from experienced teachers at the school and in person training.
