Our client based in Farnborough have an excellent opportunity to join their team as a Logistics Apprentice – who will learn Supply Chain qualities on a permanent basis.
As the Logistics Apprentice you will work within the Supply Chain structure to provide and sustain a compliant import & export service whilst being a member of a Team that is responsible for the picking, packing and despatch of all work and sales orders within a stores environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Documentation & Record keeping – Ensuring the correct shipping paperwork both internal hardcopies & online website information.
• Procedures - Adhering to Customs Procedures for Importing and Exporting
- Home Use, - End Use, -VAT, Intrastats
- Duty Relief IPR/OPR - Inward Processing Relief/Outward Processing Relief
• Customs Compliance – Import & Export compliance with customs regulations
• Manage Ad hoc Export Shipments
• NES Export Declarations & other Import entries for Export shipment
• Ensure Imports/Exports comply with tariffs, duty regulations
• Clearance of all incoming Purchased parts including Sub-Tier & Mexico
• Export shipping - create & manage paperwork and use of all portals
• Approval and Validation of all commercial invoices
• Fully conversant with all supplier portals (RR Matrix, PWC, GE, etc.) onsite training courses
• Ensure all customer deliveries are met
• Maintain knowledge of Local, national & International customs procedures/practices
• The ability to despatch sales orders to customer which includes, generate despatch paperwork, pick, pack and release to customer specifications and requirements
• Booking orders to stock and putting away in the correct stores location
• Control and ordering of all packaging material
• Goods Inwards, be competent on all aspects of goods received and be able to book in all types of purchase orders whether from a supplier or Mexico
• Control of parts with a shelf life
• Daily cycle counts
• Generate all paperwork and labels for shipments to Mexico and be able to pick and pack them
• Transfer and adjust stock on LN
• Responsible for all the scanning and archiving of paperwork
• Fully interact with other department
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• Sound PC skills (Excel, Word, databases etc.).
• Enthusiastic and hardworking individual
• A good communicator, with the ability to communicate at all levels within and external to the business
• Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Good numerical and literacy skills
