Looking for QA candidates experienced in testing applications in functional and non-functional areas (API, usability, security, and performance) with strong coding skills. The QA Engineer will work with multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies to ensure the quality of the sync platform across an array of supported devices.
Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting-edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and using automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers; they can understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help. QAEs will be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail, developing the test strategy/planning, creating test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with stakeholders, contributing to code-level unit tests, test execution, and reporting.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Able to create and execute test strategy for testing major features, small devices, mid-size applications, services, or other products including non-functional use cases.
2. Work directly with Product Managers, Software Development Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to build testable components.
3. Ability to create automated tests that are maintainable and reusable, helping to identify bugs without producing false positives.
4. Ability to work consistently at a high quality bar and provide process improvements across QA teams.
5. Able to train new team members on team procedures.
