Job summary Cardiac Nurse Practitioner Cardiac Pathway Team Band 6 Post We currently have a Band 6 opportunity for a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner, who is able to use their extensive cardiac nursing knowledge and skills to deliver a high standard of autonomous practice to patients who have presented with an acute cardiac condition. The role will involve working in all areas of Cardiology across the Directorate, using Advanced Cardiac Assessment, & Advanced ECG Interpretation. These skills will be evidenced by specialist critical care/cardiology modules at BSc levels (as a minimum). History Taking and Non-Medical Prescribing skills are desirable. ILS or ALS certificates are essential. This role is ideal for someone who has been qualified for a minimum of 5 years with a minimum of 2 years at Band 6 level in a cardiology, critical care or emergency care setting. You will be joining a team who triage and assess patients autonomously along the entire Cardiac Pathway from A&E, through to Acute Medicine and Cardiology. We are an interventional service for Primary PCIs, the post holder will be integral to delivering timely care for patients suffering acute myocardial infarction.
