Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician
Salary: £48,500 per annum + overtime & benefits
Hours: Panama Shift Pattern, 6 till 6, days and nights (Working 7 of every 14 Days)
Location: Bishop Auckland Area - Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Billingham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Eggleston, Consett and surrounding areas.

The site prides itself on being self-sufficient, not relying on outside contractors for most projects, so the maintenance teams get fully involved in most of the full lifecycle of work. They also provide training and up-skilling where required, i.e., programming or PLC's - both fault finding and programming, although ideally, you will have some of these advanced skills already.
Responsibilities
Your role will be to focus on Electrical Maintenance and Engineering work in the factory, including:
1. Supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, mixing and robotics machinery.
2. Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
3. Providing reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.
4. Installing, maintaining & troubleshooting VSD Drives and PLC's.
Requirements
The Maintenance Electrician will need to have:
1. Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications at NVQ/C&G Level 3 or above.
2. Experience in performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance work within an industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
3. Ideally experience of PLC Fault Finding - programming skills are useful, additionally experience with VSD Drives is beneficial.
4. The ability to diagnose and repair Electrical Motors and Pneumatics.
5. A willingness to learn and develop your skills further, together with sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
6. A friendly, proactive, and adaptable attitude to work.
7. Good knowledge of and strict adherence to Health & Safety.
