Job overview
Yeatman Hospital is looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our patients, staff, and visitors receive high-quality meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

This is a part-time post of 21 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
1. Preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
2. Assisting with basic food preparation whilst maintaining the standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
3. Washing up and general cleaning duties, following food safety regulations and hospital policies whilst providing excellent customer service.

Person specification
Knowledge, Skills and Training
* Level 2 certificate in food hygiene or working towards
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of the team
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role

* Knowledge of stock control procedures and methods

* Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively.
