Department We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join us, working for the Three Schools Dementia Programme as part of the NIHR School for Social Care Research, situated within the School for Business and Society. The NIHR Schools for Social Care, Public Health and Primary Care Research have received funding from NIHR to deliver a collaborative programme of research and capacity building in the field of Dementia. The contract for this programme is held and managed by the School for Social Care Research via the University of York on behalf of the three NIHR Research Schools. The programme budget of £9m includes funding for multiple research and capacity building awards across different universities in addition to evaluation activities, knowledge exchange & impact and public & community involvement & engagement Role Working with the SSCR Director and SSCR Programme Manager, the role holder will be responsible for the Dementia Programme operational management including issuing contracts to award holders, monitoring and reporting on the programme activities and overseeing programme finances. Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed Proven experience in project management, ideally within a research/higher education context. Strong interpersonal skills with experience of collaborative working across multiple organisations Experience of budget management including monitoring and reporting Strong organisational skills with evidence of working with multiple competing priorities and deadlines Awareness of the research funding landscape For a detailed list of essential criteria, please refer to the job description.
