Playing a key role within the planning department, you will be responsible for the creation, authorization, and shop-loading of production job cards in accordance with engineering drawings and client specifications. In order to maintain a smooth running department, you will be expected to learn and support all other planning department activities shared by the team.
You shall have a sound understanding of a wide range of aerospace surface treatments and must be fluent at reading detail aerospace drawings. The ability to create internal process controlling documents is an essential part of the role; therefore, you must be methodical, proficient with a computer, and have excellent written communication skills.
You’ll use your engineering experience to provide support to those with technical queries and you will also contribute towards continuous improvement activity in line with business strategy.
Ideally you will have:
1. A proven track record as a planning engineer ideally within an Aerospace environment
2. Knowledge/experience of surface treatments
3. A recognised engineering qualification
4. Excellent administration skills
5. Fluent at reading and interpreting engineering drawings
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel applications
7. Familiar with SAP
8. A natural team player with a proactive approach
