You’ll work on high-impact financial and commercial strategies, supporting some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure. Your Mission As a Financial & Commercial Officer, you will provide financial and commercial leadership across our Defence & Decommissioning business. You will support P&L leaders, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and project financial controls to maximise profitability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: ⚡️ Own and manage budget and forecast templates, ensuring accurate and timely financial data. ⚡️ Consolidate and review budget/forecasts, analysing variances and key financial assumptions. ⚡️ Monitor monthly P&L performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and financial trends. ⚡️ Oversee project financial controls, including WIP invoicing, PO coverage, and accounts receivables. ⚡️ Support audits (customer, government, financial, internal quality). ⚡️ Develop commercial and financial models for large-scale bid/proposal submissions. ⚡️ Drive financial project closure and ensure maximum profitability. Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications Essential Skills ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience. Strong experience in financial and/or project controls. Proficiency in computerised accounting systems (IFS knowledge is a plus). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation. Proven ability to analyse cost drivers and improve profitability. Desired Skills ✔️ NEC4 contract knowledge or training. ✔️ Experience in financial modelling for joint ventures and supply chain partnerships. ✔️ Background in large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects.
