About the project: Development of a subsea power cable manufacturing factory for Japanese multinational company Sumitomo Electric, in the Port of Nigg of Scottish Highlands. The project will support the delivery of critical infrastructure to support the offshore wind and renewable energy sectors to achieve their substantial energy generation ambition in the years ahead. We are looking for a: Senior P6 Planner, you will play a critical role in our engineering and construction projects in the industrial sector. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of project controls and Engineering Value Management ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Director, engineer, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive project control solutions. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (essential), Construction Management, or related field. 10 years’ experience in project controls within the construction, (essential). Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential. Knowledge of other project management software and tools. Master's degree in Project Management or a related field, (desired). Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, CCP) are a plus. Familiarity with subsea cable construction projects, (desired). Experience in Gas & Oil, Manufacturing, Energy, Water, and Manufacturing Industries. Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices. Experience with NEC3 or NEC4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis, resource allocation, and progress tracking. Cost Management: Monitor and control project budgets, track expenses, and provide accurate cost forecasts. Implement cost control measures to prevent overruns. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop risk management strategies to ensure project success. Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for project performance evaluation. Provide regular project status reports to management and stakeholders. Change Management: Evaluate and manage project changes, including scope changes, schedule adjustments, and cost impact assessments via the Early Warning Register. Resource Management: Coordinate with resource managers to ensure the availability of personnel and equipment as per project requirements. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that projects adhere to quality standards and specifications. Communication: Maintain effective communication with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project. Software and Tools: Utilize project management and control software/tools for data analysis and reporting, such as Primavera (Essential), Microsoft Project, and Excel. Provides regular briefings to the Project Director on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns. Reporting: Daily report via email. Weekly Report to the Project Director.
