Job summary This post have been established to work on the full general Surgery rota, including nights & weekends. The post is none training, however, opportunities for development will be available and support from the care group. The post holder will be expected to keep themselves up to date with current knowledge & practice, to attend clinical meetings within the department & to participate in audit & "in-service" training of other healthcare professionals. The post holder will also be required to be available exceptionally for such irregular commitments outside normal rostered duties as are essential for continuity of patient care. The successful candidates will be joining clinical teams who offer a supportive and encouraging environment which will allow progression as a professional through development opportunities in specialist fields as well as their area of particular interest. There will also be an expectation that the post holder will take an active part in both internal and external audits.
