Job Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our brand's footprint. Your primary objective will be to identify, develop and execute a growth strategy that aligns with our company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a deep understanding of the independent hotel sector in the region (locations, property owners, average room rates, occupancy levels, etc).
2. Work with your Head of Business Development, and the broader team, to determine our go-to-market strategy and establish partnerships in your region.
3. Connect and liaise with key decision makers in target properties to pitch OYO value proposition and commercials.
4. Feedback from property owners and managers is communicated periodically to the line manager.
5. Collaborate with a broader team and contribute to the overall success of OYO UK.
Essential Experience
1. 3 to 5 years of B2B Sales experience.
2. Strong negotiation skills with commercial awareness.
3. Build a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed targets.
4. Prospects and qualify leads through cold calls, walk-ins, CRM campaign, events, email outreach and leverage on existing relationships/networks to identify new business opportunities.
5. Understand the needs of the hotelier and be able to provide a bespoke solution for a partnership.
6. Build relationships with local authorities, estate agents and property developers.
7. Present OYO to prospective partners confidently and effectively to win partnerships.
8. Consult existing partners of OYO on new opportunities to build their portfolios.
9. Understanding of high pace growth/start-up business and hotel experience is preferable.
10. Strong stakeholder management skills internal and external.
11. Target driven and Entrepreneurial mindset.
12. Must have a full UK driving license & work authorization.
