Interim IT Finance Manager 12 months St Albans (Hybrid working) As our next Interim IT Finance Manager, you'll be driving and leading the financial operations within the IT department. Your remit will include budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning for projects and operational spend. This role is instrumental in ensuring the financial success of our technology projects. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning for projects and operational spend. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience working within the technology sector. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide financial updates and support decision-making processes. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries related to IT project finances Cost Management: Monitor and control IT expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize financial performance. This includes a detailed focus on capital expenditure (CapEx) and revenue expenditure (OpEx). Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, capital expenditure reports, and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Provide detailed analysis on CapEx and OpEx to support decision-making. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Monitor CapEx and OpEx to manage financial risk effectively. The Key Requirements Large amount of experience working in accounting, preferably with exposure to IT project accounting or project management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and financial reporting tools. Familiarity with project management software is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships. Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIMA) is a plus. Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
