Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Manager at our Pollington site.
So, what’s the job about?
1. Assist with the leadership of the site engineering teams to deliver engineering plans/ Production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety and cost parameters.
2. Implement & deliver the engineering strategy that will develop and drive reliability, improve quality, Safety and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports
3. Implement best practice maintenance principles for SHE/capital programme, care and maintenance
4. Manage Engineering systems, structures, resource and processes and ways of working
5. Assist with the engineering planning process that proactively manages and maintains manufacturing assets at site
6. Involvement with the engineering stores system that ensures critical spares availability, stock control management & effective maintenance planning
7. Involvement Responsible for the delivery of engineering KPI’s that compliment manufacturing performance, manufacturing KPI’s, and OGSM objectives
8. Recognize best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders in helping to implement these across the business whilst supporting continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal, performance management and personal development plans to ensure that their full potential is realised
10. Project management/deliver change initiatives
11. Deputise for the Engineering Manager
What skills are you going to bring to the team?
12. Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship)
13. 3+ Years’ experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation
14. Experience of leading an engineering team
15. IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate
16. Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems
17. Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs
18. Project management and leading/delivering change is desired
19. Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be an advantage
20. Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques Problem-Solving, 5s, SMED
