To be able to work within a child's day nursery ensuring that each child is provided with a safe and secure, emotionally and physically stimulating environment and programme of activities in which to develop.
To plan and provide as a group a wide range of activities for a group of children, which covers all aspects of the EYFS and individual child development.
To be fully responsible for the children in your care, providing a consistently safe, secure, and stimulating environment.
To work as part of a team with other staff members to ensure children receive the highest standards of care.
Ensure that accidents/individual problems with children, staff, or parents are brought to the manager's attention.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the nursery, promoting personal hygiene standards through monitoring toilet procedures, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the playroom and surrounding areas.
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and supervising meal times.
Attend regular training sessions and termly staff training and development days.
Assist in out-of-hours events such as fetes and open evenings.
Nursery Practitioners must at all times respect the principle of confidentiality of information gained through their work.
To be a key worker to a group of children supporting them through their learning and development journey.
To have a sound knowledge of safeguarding children and follow local policies and procedures for raising concerns.
