Position Overview
As the Indonesian or Italian Teacher, you will deliver engaging and immersive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding. You will play a vital role in creating a love for language learning, preparing students to become culturally educated. The position involves collaborating with school leaders, colleagues, and parents to enhance student learning and educational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Indonesian or Italian language lessons for students in Years 3 to 9.
2. Foster an appreciation for Indonesian culture through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
3. Develop lesson plans and resources aligned with the curriculum and school values.
4. Assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
6. Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required.
7. Create personalised learning programs, assess student progress, and maintain records.
8. Build strong relationships with students and families, promoting inclusivity, and managing classroom behavior.
About You
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who:
1. Holds relevant teaching qualifications and is registered (or eligible for registration) with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
2. Has expertise in teaching Indonesian or Italian language and culture, with a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum.
3. Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills.
4. Is committed to fostering a love of learning and a sense of curiosity in students.
5. Values collaboration and contributes positively to a supportive team environment.
6. Is passionate about making language learning engaging and meaningful.
7. Demonstrates a commitment to Catholic Values: Active support for the College’s mission and values.
Specific Requirements
1. Working With Children Check
2. Catholic Police Clearance (With support of the college).
3. Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate.
4. Approved Mandatory Notification training.
5. Applicable First Aid Certificate relevant to the role requirements.
