Building a sustainable tomorrow\n\nBAM FM are recruiting a Senior Bid Manager. This position will involve a mixture of working from home and any UK & Ireland office location. BAM operates a flexible working policy.\n\n****** Must be from an FM background *******\n\nYour mission\n\nThe BAM FM Bid Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the preparation and submission of competitive bids with a focus on facilities management, Projects, Digital and Sustainability services.
The Bid Manager will also contribute to bid strategy development, manage client expectations, and drive the focus on winning new contracts.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Bid Management:\n\nLead the preparation and submission of bids and solutions for BAM FM contracts and tenders, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant submissions.\n\nManage the end-to-end bid process, including opportunity identification, bid/no-bid decisions, proposal development, and final submission.\n\nDevelop and maintain a detailed bid schedule and manage timelines to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.\n\nArrange all internal governance sign off sessions and pre-brief relevant stakeholders in advance of each session.\n\n• Proposal Development:\n\nWork with key internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, etc.) to gather necessary information for bid proposals.\n\nDraft, edit, and review high-quality, winning proposals that address client requirements and clearly articulate the company’s value proposition.\n\nAbility to use AI driven tools to enhance and drive efficiency and quality bid responses for each bid to provide a first-pass answer frame for each quality question.\n\nCoordinate the development of technical responses, pricing schedules, and commercial terms, ensuring that proposals are customized to reflect client needs.\n\n• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:\n\nLiaise with senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders to gather insights, feedback, and align on bid strategy.\n\nOrganise and lead bid review meetings with internal teams to ensure alignment and resolve any potential issues prior to submission.\n\nEngage with clients during the pre-bid phase, attending meetings, and providing necessary clarifications during the proposal process.\n\n• Bid Strategy & Pricing:\n\nSupport the development of winning bid strategies, collaborating with the commercial team to determine optimal service delivery models and pricing strategies.\n\nConduct competitor and market analysis to inform bid strategy and differentiate the company’s offering.\n\nEnsure the proposal accurately reflects competitive pricing while maintaining the company's margin targets and service quality standards.\n\n• Risk Management & Compliance:\n\nIdentify and manage risks associated with bids, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.\n\nEnsure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements in all proposals.\n\nCollaborate with legal and commercial teams to review and finalize contract terms.\n\n• Post-Bid Activities:\n\nLead the response to any post-submission queries or clarification requests from clients.\n\nUpdate the shared bid library after each bid to ensure a live and evolving catalogue of draft quality responses which subsequently feed Autogen AI.\n\nUpdate the shared case study library after each bid to ensure most accurate examples are available for future use.\n\nParticipate in presentations and negotiations with clients to secure contracts.\n\nAssist in the transition and handover process once a bid is won, ensuring smooth integration with operational teams.\n\nWho are we looking for?\n\nExperience and Qualifications\n\n• Proven experience (3+ years) in bid management, ideally within the facilities management industry or service-based industries.\n\n• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.\n\n• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise, and compelling proposals.\n\n• Experience in pricing strategy development and a good understanding of commercial contracts.\n\n• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather information and align on bid strategies.\n\n• Strong organisational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.\n\n• Proficiency with bid management software, CRM systems, and document management tools.\n\n• Knowledge of facilities management services and industry trends is a plus.\n\nCompetencies\n\n• Strategic
