This is a full time position offering 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will hold a full UK manual driving licence and must be willing to drive a work vehicle. About the service/department In your role as Supervisor, you will be overseeing 2 services based in the Northfield area of Aberdeen. Both people we support are deaf and communicate using a mixture of sign language, Makaton and symbols therefore strong communication is essential for the role. You will manage the day-to-day duties of both services, ensuring a high standard of quality of care is being delivered while encouraging the independence and growth of the people we support. You will have a hands-on approach in supporting both people with their social activities including, swimming, football, discos and days out along with aspects of personal care, their finances and medication management. Your role will involve a mixture of shift work alongside the staff team and office work to allow you time to develop staff rota's and carry out staff support sessions. The shift patterns are a mix of early and late shifts (7.5 hours) and 24 hour shifts which includes a sleepover. About you Have or working towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care You would need to have excellent communication and time keeping skills Strong leadership skills and the willingness to learn You would need to hold a full UK driving license Experience developing and coaching teams Reliable and trustworthy Flexible and creative This is a female only position.
