We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our Service Desk team. Role Overview:
As an IT Apprentice, you will provide first-line support within our Service Desk team, assisting with basic IT tasks, including computer setup, operating system and application installations, hardware handling, and shipping. This role is ideal for someone passionate about IT and eager to grow their skills with hands-on training and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in the installation and configuration of computer operating systems and applications.
•Perform basic troubleshooting and support tasks under supervision.
•Prepare, pack, and ship IT equipment to clients or end-users.
•Maintain accurate records of hardware and software deployments.
•Provide friendly and professional assistance to users via email, phone, and ticketing systems.
•Work closely with the Service Desk team to learn and develop troubleshooting skills.
•Follow IT processes and procedures to ensure smooth service delivery.
•Keep up to date with IT industry developments and actively participate in training.
Requirements:
Strong interest in IT and technology with a willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of Windows/macOS and common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Hours of work: 37.5 Hours per week.

Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete an Information Communication Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
