Job Opportunity: Electrical Systems Commissioning Engineer – Power Generation/Nuclear Sector
Location: Bristol, UK
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Commissioning Engineer to join our team, providing key support in the commissioning of electrical systems for large-scale power generation projects, particularly in the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and validate commissioning deliverables : Prepare Plat-form Test Procedures (PTP), Sufficiency Analysis Notes (SAN), System Commissioning Programmes (SCP), and Commissioning Procedures (CP).
* Oversee and coordinate commissioning activities : Ensure compliance with engineering methods, standards, processes, and feedback from other projects.
* Participate in I&C function tests : Support platform tests (SPPA-T2000 S7) including test result assessments.
* Manage risks and stakeholders : Track project data, identify relevant stakeholders, assess input data maturity, and manage project risks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams : Work with various engineering disciplines (mechanical, HVAC, I&C) to ensure successful project delivery.
* Documentation and reporting : Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are approved by relevant parties, stored appropriately, and report progress towards time schedules and budgets.
Key Requirements:
* Experience : Significant engineering experience in power generation or process industries with heavy regulatory constraints.
* Technical Expertise :
* Functional knowledge of electrical systems.
Familiarity with I&C logic diagrams and test coverage substantiation.
* Commissioning Knowledge : Prior commissioning experience in nuclear sites or relevant procedure development is highly desirable.
* Coordination & Problem-Solving : Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and propose fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
* Writing & Documentation : Strong writing skills to produce high-quality test procedures and reports.
* Software Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
