We are recruiting for a Team Lead for our Talking Therapies team on the Isle of Wight.
You will provide team leadership within a span of care cluster pathways - including leading the development of team structures that support integrated working as an active participant, ensuring that effective liaison is developed and maintained with all external agencies.
You will monitor and report on service quality and provide statistical evidence of clinical and procedural effectiveness as required.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for budgets ascribed to the team in association with the Service Manager and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation, advising the Senior Management Team in all matters related to service development.
You will make a significant clinical contribution as a senior practitioner to the service through the provision of therapeutic input, treatment, and assessment, and receive regular clinical and leadership supervision.
Be responsible for taking part in the Mental Health & Learning Disability Divisional Out of Hours On Call rota.
Main duties of the job
1. Be responsible for ensuring the provision of care pathways and participate in the implementation and evaluation of changes in services, practices and methods of delivering care and treatment.
2. Develop and co-ordinate a process for both managerial and clinical/practice supervision and support the staff to take an active role in the process of supervision and annual appraisal.
3. Be responsible through caseload management for identifying and monitoring safeguarding issues adherence prior to implementing child protection and vulnerable adults' policies.
4. Develop systems within the team to ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures that govern clinical and managerial practice and participate in the development of Clinical Governance strategies, including Clinical Effectiveness and other quality.
5. Work with team colleagues and external agencies to involve user groups and carers in the promotion and development of services and work with clinical leads and team colleagues to develop networks to ensure practice is up to date and consistent with all local and national guidance, directives, and legislation.
6. As a Team Leader, the post holder will have responsibility for and carry a caseload appropriate to their role.
7. As a Team Leader, the post holder will be available for the on-call rota for the Mental Health Directorate over week and weekend periods.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A core profession as outlined by BABCP which includes BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing or BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, BA (Hons) Social Work or Probation Service DipPS.
* Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for anxiety and depression.
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a clinical psychologist or counselling psychologist.
* Qualification appropriate to the delivery of the Mental Health Service or extensive experience in the specialty.
* Additional training and qualification in team management.
* Well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies.
* If appropriate, being qualified as Clinical Supervisor by the BABCP, UKCP, EMDR Europe or other recognised regulatory authority.
* Qualification in more than 1 therapy, e.g., CBT and EMDR or Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
Experience
* Ability in team leadership and development.
* Higher level aptitude in 'people management'.
* Supervision of others and prioritising workload of self and others.
* Evidence of management training.
* Budget Management.
* Fully computer literate as required for this post.
* Clinically skilled in report writing.
* Very high level of communication skills -- including conflict resolution, chairing meetings -- knowledge of appraisal process.
* Familiar with use of IMT & electronic information systems at level required for role.
