Established over 50 years ago, Central Group is recognised as one of the UK’s most successful, family-owned Electro-Mechanical service providers in the repair and maintenance industry for Pumps, Motors, Alternators, Fans, Gearboxes, and their associated controls. We currently have vacancies for Mechanical Fitters.
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to your Team Leader, your role will be to work as part of a team both in our workshop and on customer sites. You must be able to dismantle and assemble a range of rotating equipment, specifically pumps and motors. Occasionally working on customer sites around the UK, but primarily within the Northwest, you will need to be flexible and ready to deal with different customer challenges that may change from day to day.
Applicants must be flexible as you may be required to stay overnight to fulfil customer requirements, attend training, and must hold a full UK driving license.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (DAY TO DAY):
Your routine duties may vary, but you will be expected to:
* Use all standard workshop machinery.
* Accurately record information and observations on internal job cards.
* Dismantle and reassemble rotating machinery and equipment.
* Ensure tools and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.
* Engage in the Company's Continuous Improvement program within the Workshop in line with business objectives.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES (AS AND WHEN REQUIRED):
* Attend relevant internal meetings.
* Attend training courses either internally or externally.
* Participate in the Workshop On-Call Rota.
ABILITIES / SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry.
* Good communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
* Time served or have at least five years of commercial industrial experience.
* Experience with rotating equipment, specifically pumps and motors.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
