About the job
We are looking for a dynamic Contracts and Service Development Officer to join our Adult Services Contracts and Service Development Team. In this role, you will:
1. Ensure our commissioning priorities are met by developing and refining professional systems, processes, and standards.
2. Support commissioned providers in meeting their contractual obligations and service level agreements.
3. Lead quality assurance efforts and monitor sustainable outcomes for social care delivery.
4. Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring contractual compliance and the best outcomes for Cardiff residents.
5. Contribute to the strategic and operational objectives of Adult Services and Cardiff Council.
6. Work in a collaborative way, building positive relationships with social care providers to gain a better understanding of their challenges and how these can be addressed through partnership working.
What We Are Looking For From You
We need someone who is dedicated to delivering exceptional public services in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience in commissioning and effective service delivery for Adult Services.
2. Skills in contract monitoring and performance management.
3. A solid understanding of health and social care commissioning, procurement, and legislation.
4. A commitment to working in partnership with commissioned providers to achieve the best outcomes for citizens.
5. The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
