Job summary An opportunity has become available on a permanent basis to join our Therapy Department to support patient discharges.We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to join our busy department. The successful applicant must be able to drive a van to deliver and fit equipment in patients' homes as part of the discharge process. They will also be responsible for arranging collections of equipment no longer required along with the refurbishment of the equipment. The rolealsoinvolves manual handling of equipment in patients' homes as well as into and out of the vanfor cleaning and delivery. Applicants need to have excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills as frequent phone calls and meetings with family and carers are a daily requirement in often difficult circumstances and to ensure that equipment on loan is returned promptly when no longer in use. Applicants should have previous experience an excellent understanding of the role of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy within an acute setting. Monday - Friday cover is required, but hours for the post can be flexible if needed. To manage levels of stock to ensure adequate equipment is available and that patient discharges are not delayed.
