SEN Classroom Support
Protocol Education are recruiting teaching assistants to work full time in SEN schools throughout Salisbury and the surrounding areas. The schools are looking for teaching assistants to develop academic studies, communication skills and cognitive stimulation through various methds. As part of the role you will be working 1:1 or lead small groups of learners with special needs such as autism and physical disabilities.
As a specialist provision, the schools require someone who experienced or open about working in special needs. As part of the role, we offer accredited CPD that include learning strategies, behaviour techniques and medical procedures.
Main Duties:
* Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy & literacy and other core subjects/education principles
* Developing social & communication skills through sensory integration
* Assessing pupils’ levels and ability
* Comfortable or open to supporting learners with personal care
