Overview
We are seeking skilled Class 1 Drivers to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a timely and safe manner.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload delivery vehicles
* Follow delivery routes and time schedules
* Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip
* Adhere to safety standards and traffic laws
* Driver mate to assist in load
* Heavy lifting involved
* Checking and completing paperwork
* Vehicle checks
* Ensuring load is safe and secure
Required skills and experiences
1. Driving experience in the same field at least 2 years (required)
2. Ability to deal face to face with clients and handle any initial queries in a professional and courteous manner
3. Able to work in a busy, fast paced delivery time critical environment
4. Ability to work independently with good tram player skills
5. Upholding company reputation and being an ambassador of the company
6. Good communication skills, ability to liaise with central office where required
