The Clinical Coding Department at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, is looking to appoint 1 full time Clinical Coding Admin Assistants for The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The positions are full time, 37.5 hours per week and the working pattern is Monday - Friday. The start and finish times can be flexible within the needs of the department.
Due to the nature of the role, the job can be somewhat physical with a significant amount of manual handling involved.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include - the collection and return of case-notes to and from the wards; booking in and despatching of patient case-notes; dealing with requests from other departments; plus, some data inputting of outpatient procedure details onto SemaHelix

The Clinical Coding Department is part of the wider Finance function, the Coding Department is based across two hospital sites - The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent 2 of which must be English & Maths.
* ECDL or equivalent qualification in the use of IT
Skills/ Experience
* Experience of hospital patient information systems
