Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a busy and friendly team to build upon the current service user and care involvement in our quality improvement work. This role is crucial to ensure we are delivering services that include service users and carers to help design and evaluate projects and services.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will support the QII team to bring a culture of continuous improvement specifically the voice of experts by experience. This will see the postholder embedded in the QII team which will bring significant support and opportunities to stretch themselves.
The role will entail training and acting as a source of expertise to improvement work. The ambition is to improve the number of projects and pieces of work that has experts by experience co-deigning and co-facilitating to promote the experience and voice of those who use our services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* The postholder will support the training offer, specifically our Service User and Carer training package.
* Ensure that service user and carer experience is sought and used to drive improvements.
* To act as an internal resource that bridges the QII team and Involvement.
* To act as a resource to bring in external resources and training as required.
* Contribute to quality improvement projects, bringing an expert by experience perspective.
Person specification
Experience
* Experience of being part of a team developing a project or service.
* Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
* Lived experience of mental health issues or caring for a person with mental health issues.
* Experience of positively sharing your own life experiences, personal experience of mental health issues with service users, carers and professionals.
* Experience of QII methodology, terminology and Life QI platforms.
* Experience of using recovery approach when working with individuals and teams.
* Previous experience of using peer support.
Training & Qualifications
* Evidence of degree level education or equivalent work experience.
* Undertake or willing to undertake Quality Improvement training.
* Commitment to obtain further underpinning knowledge of QI through work based learning.
* Evidence of ongoing personal development.
* Recent experience of working in the mental health sector.
Knowledge & Skills
* Experience of working with a range of different people with varying backgrounds.
* Experience of public speaking and delivering presentations.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
* Knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
* To contribute to training packages.
