The Digital Content Assistant will provide communications and administrative support to the Digital Team and wider Communications Team working across media relations, public affairs, campaigns, internal and corporate communications. The post holder will produce high quality digital content that is in line with strategic objectives, tailored to specific audiences and optimised for specific digital channels including, social media, website, intranet, and email. This includes graphic design, photography and video content. This also includes publishing content to digital channels and reporting on its performance, moderation of responses to social media posts and wider community management including highlighting key topics or trends of discussions on our social media channels and in our direct messages. Duties and responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for the following: Creating social media content to communicate key messages from news stories or reports in engaging ways based on target audience and optimised for each social media channel Filming and editing video content Monitoring the social media accounts, upholding the house rules for moderation of responses Highlighting key topics or trends of discussions on our social media content and in our direct messages Live streaming key organisational meetings such as Public Health Wales Board Meetings Using the Content Management Systems (CMS) for the website and Intranet Taking photos at events that can be used in communications, following GDPR regulations Contributing to evaluation reports on the digital channels Managing competing deadlines and requests from different teams, using own initiative to prioritise work Attending and contributing to meetings Providing arrangements and services that support use of the Welsh language and compliance with the Welsh Language Standards Providing arrangements and services that adhere to AA accessibility standards for digital content and products Carry out any other duties of a comparable nature as and when required
