Internal Sales Executive – Flooring Preparation and Industrial Consumables Job Title: Internal Sales Executive – Flooring Preparation and Industrial Consumables Industry Sector: Industrial Flooring, Industrial Roofing, Surface Preparation Tools, PPE, Janitorial Products, Industrial Consumables, Painting & Decorating Products, Flooring Contractors, Concrete Preparation Contractors, Building & Decorating Merchants, Decorating Accessories and Painting Tools Office based: Sandbach Remuneration: £26,000-£28,000 £2,000 Uncapped Bonus Benefits: 23 days holiday, sick-pay, company pension scheme The role of the Internal Sales Executive – Flooring Preparation and Industrial Consumables will involve: Internal sales role promoting a distributed range of surface preparation tools, PPE, janitorial products, industrial consumables and decorators’ accessories and painting tools such as; rollers, squeegees, roller kits, paint brushes, mixing buckets, mixers, hand preparation tools etc. Predominantly selling directly into flooring contractors, concrete floor preparation contractors and some line marking contractors In the future there is scope for this role to develop into a field sales position Following up on numerous leads form the office website Reactive sales role, no cold calling Order values from £100 to £5,000, typically £250-£300 Processing customer orders – email and phone orders. Providing alternatives and information on lead times of non-stock items. Identifying upselling opportunities such as volume discounts & complimentary products Answering customer’s queries and responding in a timely basis to requests for quotes, pricing and product information. Producing quotes and following up with customers to secure the order. Producing and reviewing sales analysis reports to aid new business development Making introduction calls to new customers to qualify the type of business they are and the sales potential of an account. Reviewing and managing pricing to customers that reflects the volume and value of purchases including contract pricing. Maintaining customer records on the ERP system Logging tasks on ERP system for Sales Development Manager to follow up on sales leads identified such as new customer registrations and product enquiries Working with the Marketing and Purchasing to maximise impact of product promotions. The ideal applicant will be an Internal Sales Executive – Flooring Preparation and Industrial Consumables with: Ideally 12 months B2B product sales experience Strong attention to detail and customer service orientated Be able to work autonomously to complete tasks Demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks, remain organised and work with strong attention to detail. Be a resilient individual who can problem solve. Strong interpersonal skills to build customer relationships Have strong English and Maths skills (minimum level 5 GCSE or equivalent). Some level of further education eg A levels at Grade C or above ( Or equivalent ) or an undergraduate degree 2:2 IT literate including Microsoft office and experience of ERP / CRM databases.
